AirDisplay Turns iPad & Android Tablet to Second Monitor for Desktop PC

If you’re happen to used multiple screen for your office computer, it must be hard when you’re forced to work on single screen while you using your own laptop at home. But, if you have a Mac or Windows based computer, you can achieve similar function using an iPad or Android tablet PC. You can use ‘em both as the second monitor for your laptop or computer!

In order to do this, you’re only have to grab and install the AirDisplay app. It is now available for both iOS and Android. The developer is currently ask $9.99 for it. This application will make your Android or iPad tablet to a 2nd display for your Mac or Windows based computer that connected via WiFi network. The moment after you install the AirDisplay in your tablet, you’ll be automatically prompted into an official web page that provide a direct link to download similar apps for the Mac or Windows desktop computer.

It only takes couple of minutes for AirDisplay to search your tablet on the WiFi network. Just make sure that both tablet and desktop computer are running the application and you won’t find any trouble pairing those two devices.

We are recently experience a slight lag with this app, but it is completely understandable since we’re working on a small WiFi network. You might don’t want to stream HD video using this app, but aside from this drawback, everything works quite well at the moment. AirDisplay is able to mimic your computer’s screen or extend the display space.

For $10 app, AirDisplay is a perfect solution for those of you who can’t afford additional monitor for your computer. We’ve try both iPad and Windows version of the app and we don’t find any problem in both version. As you can see on the image above, we are currently using AirDisplay to stream the desktop computer’s content to Asus Transformer Prime and Galaxy Tab 10.1 screen without any problem.
