LG Optimus 4X HD vs HTC One X sounds like a great comparison. Both of this handsets are recently see the daylight for the first time nearly on the same time. Optimus 4X HD was introduced by LG few days before MWC 2012 kick off in Barcelona, while HTC One X sets it’s first debut on the same event, alongside with it’s two fellows, HTC One V and HTC One S.

Although these handsets are manufactured by different company, they’re currently share something similar. Have you already guess it yet? It’s the quad-core processors that we’re currently refer to guys. This is the kind of CPU that represent the new era in smartphone industry. iPhone 4S is predicted to carry on quad-core processors, while Samsung Galaxy S III is expected to carry an Exynos Quad-core CPU that clocked at 1.5GHz! Hardware. LG Optimus 4X HD is carry on Nvidia Tegra 3 chipset that currently clocked at 1500 MHz. In order to guarantee for excellent system performance, LG also implement 1GB RAM and 16GB internal data storage. You can also expand it using the available microSD card slot. On the other hand, HTC One X is carry on similar chipset and RAM, but the handset is manage to overshadowed Optimus 4X HD with bigger 32GB internal data storage. Display. LG Optimus 4X HD sports 4.7 inch screen with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution. It’s pixels density is currently measured at 312 ppi. According to LG, Optimus 4X HD capacitive touch screen is build from a single IPS LCD panel that also packed with light and proximity sensors. Meanwhile, it’s arch enemy HTC One X comes out with similar display size and resolution. When it comes to pixels density, this handset is manage to score 312ppi or similar to LG Optimus 4X HD. In addition, HTC One X is also packed with light sensors, proximity sensors, and scratch resistant glass.

Camera. LG Optimus 4X HD is packed with dual-camera unit, 8.0 megapixels on the back and 1.3 megapixels on the front side. The primary camera unit is also accompanied by LED flashlight, BSI, Auto focus, and geotagging. You can use it to record an 1080p HD video. On the other side, HTC One X comes out with 8.0 megapixels rear shutter. It is also has it’s own LED flashlight. In addition, HTC also pack it with some useful sensors like back-illuminated, auto focus, geo tagging, video stabilizer, and high dynamic range mode. Same as Optimus 4X HD camera, you can also use it to capture 1080p HD video. Anyone who interested to perform a video call can take advantage from it’s 1.3 megapixels webcam.

Connectivity. LG Optimus 4X HD is support for Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, USB 2.0, microUB, NFC, and DLNA connectivity. Meanwhile, HTC One X is support for Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, USB 2.0, micro USB, NFC, and DLNA

Battery. LG Optimus 4X HD is currently rely on 2150mAh battery unit for it’s main power source. On the other hand, HTC packed One X with an 1800mAh battery unit. It is clear that Optimus 4X HD carry on bigger battery unit and that might indicate that it will last longer than HTC One X. But, we can’t say that for sure before running a few battery test on both of them.

According to HTC representative, the One X should be available in the market on the second quarter of this year. It is also confirmed that this handset will head to US via AT&T and it will be called as HTC One XL.
