How to Apply Beats Audio Package in an Android Handset

What makes HTC smartphones so special is the fact that all of them are packed with Beats Audio technology. It is a special audio equalizer made by famous singer Dr Dre, which allow users to experience improved bass sound from their audio file. Off course in order to experience this feature, you must at least posses an android smartphone made by HTC and Beats Audio compatible headphone . Or is it?

Thanks to our amazing guys at XDA developer forum, we are now able to flash the Beats Audio package to non-HTC Android smartphone! Isn’t that great guys? Latest report suggest that the ROM is already worked excellent in Motorola Atrix 4G, Photon, RAZR, and Samsung Galaxy S II. Today, we will teach you how to install it.

Before we get started, make sure that you’ve already done this following things. First, root your android handset and install it with ClockworkMod Recover. Second, create a full backup of all your important data, including sms, contacts, settings, and apps. Third, charge your handset up to 80% or above. This is important to avoid unexpected shut down during the installation process. Fourth, don’t forget to disable or uninstall any antivirus app that existed in your computer. Finally, enable the USB debugging mode by navigating to Settings > Applications > Development. When you’re done with all of these stuffs, we can start the tutorial right away.

1. Grab the Beats Audio package file and save it in your computer. Galaxy phone users must download it from here, while other Gingerbread phone users can download it from here
2. Plug in your handset into the computer via USB cable
3. Move the Beats Audio package file into the root folder of your SD card
4. Remove your handset and turn it off
5. Boot to Recovery mode
6. Once you already there, don’t forget to create a Nandroid backup
7. Now, select Install zip from SD card, continue with Choose Zip from SD card, select the Beats Audio package file and the installation process should start immediately
8. Once it’s done, go back to main menu and select Reboot System Now
