Vodafone Release HTC Velocity LTE Within Weeks
HTC Velocity with LTE radio was recently spotted in Europe few weeks ago. Now, one of the largest carrier in Germany, Vodafone, has confirmed that they will introduce the HTC Velocity LTE within weeks. It should be available to purchase across the continent soon.
Worked under Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, this handset is powered by a dual-core CPU that clocked at 1.5GHz. It also support for quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE, dualband UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA at 900/200 MHz and dualband 800/2600 MHz LTE. GPS, WiFi, and Bluetooth connectivity are all supported. Just like it’s original model, the HTC Velocity LTE will sports 4.5 inch qHD touch screen. There’s 8.0 megapixels camera that also capable of 1080p HD video recording. For those who interested with video call, they can utilize the 1.3 megapixels web camera unit.
Vodafone’s variant of HTC Velocity will be coated with white colored chassis. The CPU chipset is also accompanied by a full gigabyte of RAM and 16GB of internal data storage, which is expandable up to 32GB using the available microSD card slot. The rest of it’s technical details include microUSB ports, miniHDMI output and 1620mAh battery unit.
It is still unclear when Vodafone will officially announce the handset, but they’ve already invite Qualcomm and HTC for a press conference next week. So, there a great chance that HTC Velocity LTE will be officially announced by that time.
