New Version of Twitter for Android Released, Optimized for Android 4.0 Tablet
If you’re can’t live without Twitter’s mention anywhere you go, then we have a great news for you. The latest version of Twitter for Android is released. It is said that this new version bring lot of new improvement and work better with tablet and the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
In this new Twitter for Android, your Twitter contact will be fully integrated with your address book and contacts list. This is mean that you should be able to find your Twitter contact easily by using the “Find My Friends” function. This feature will scan the e-mail addresses and other information to determine someone’s Twitter account. On the other hand, the app also send a warning notification to other users that their address book is being accessed at the moment. This process is little bit complicated but it is necessary to make everybody happy. Especially in the time when privacy is a sensitive issue.
The latest version of Twitter for Android will also bring lot of optimization for any device that run on the Google’s latest Android 4.0 ICS. As you might already know there’s lot of android device that planned to receive the new OS update this year, but for anyone who doesn’t posses any ICS devices, this new Twitter will still run more smoothly than it’s previous version. Aside from the ICS optimization, the new Twitter apps will now worked better with Amazon Kindle Fire and Barnes & Noble’s Nook Tablet.
We are also notice that this new Twitter for Android is bring back the swipe feature. This function will allow users to swipe through their timeline tweets. It will provide users with numbers of options like reply, retweet and others. Twitter also noted that this new version will bring faster network and scrolling performance.
