There’s lot of rugged tablet around the market. But a smartphone that able to maintain decent performance in such extreme conditions is rare. Especially the one that come out with direct support from a carrier. There’s a few of them, but not much. One of the latest model is the Kyocera DualPlus.
This handset was build to meet Military Standard with code name 810G. It is mean that Kyocera DualPlus should be tough enough to handle shock, vibration, extreme temperatures, humidity, rain, and immersion. This handset is also packed with LED flashlight, which is currently controlled by it’s own dedicated button. This feature should come in handy when you’re currently work on an area with low level of brightness.
Kyocera DuraPlus will receive direct support from Sprint‘s Direct Connect push-to-talk service. According to company’s representative, it should be available for purchase at the first half of this year. Sprint also noted that an exact release date and pricing scheme will be announced when the time is close.
