AT&T Set to Launch Samsung Rugby Smart at the end of February
If you’re a great fan of android smartphone, we’ve got a new one for you. AT&T is reported to launch the Samsung Rugby Smart. Considered as rugged device, this handset was spotted for the first time on September last year. Samsung Rugby Smart was identified with model number SGH i847 and carry on a WVGA display. Anyway, there’s no full hardware specs revealed yet, but we manage to retrieve few hints for you.
Samsung Rugby Smart will be shipped with the Android 2.3 Gingerbread. When it comes to power source, this handset will completely rely on an 1650mAh battery unit. There’s no explanation about what kind of processors and display that will be used, but we can confirm that Samsung Rugby Smart will carry on 512MB RAM. Latest rumors only suggest that it will be accompanied by a single-core processors and 3.5 inch screen, but since there’s no official words from both AT&T and Samsung, you can take this as nothing but speculation. As you can see on the leaked image below (thanks to our friends over PocketNow) the phone is coated by plastic chassis and feature four capacitive button beneath it’s display.
Samsung Rugby Smart should be available for purchase at AT&T stores on February, but there’s still no words from both sides until now. Latest reports suggest that the carrier will ask $99 for each unit.
