Android 5.0 Jelly Bean Rumored to Feature Desktop Mode

There’s lot of android handsets are scheduled to receive an Android 4.0 update this year. We’re also don’t see too many devices that feature the ICS out of the box this year. But this fact seems not stopping rumors about Google’s Android 5.0, which is said to be called as Jelly Bean. Latest report suggest that Jelly Bean might be packed with a new Android desktop mode.

Previously, the Android 5.0 is rumored to be able to worked on both tablet and smartphone devices. It is said the OS will also able to provide users with dual-boot function. Now, there’s some people claimed that the next generation of Android OS will support for trackpad control system. This is mean that the Android 5.0 should be able to work on either laptop or even a desktop computer.

This news was retrieved from a classified patent filling document that published by Patently Apple. Considering the fact that there’s already some PC that work under ARM based CPU, porting an Android OS to a desktop computer is not an impossible thing to do. There’s no official words yet from Google, but we hope to find out more information about this at the company’s I/O conference in summer this year.
