You can find many interesting booth at CES 2012. Each of them showcased some interesting or innovative device. Gadmei’s booth is one of the place that caught our attention. There’s two tablet with free glasses 3D technology on their display. These tablets were dubbed as T683 and E8-3D. We were notice that there’s some minor visual difference between these two devices, but overall they carry on similar hardware specs. Both of them run on Android 4.0.3 platform. They’re also feature 1 GHz Cortex A9 CPU, 1 GB RAM, 8 GB internal data storage, and 5,000 mAh battery unit. There’s 0.3 megapixels front facing camera and 2 megapixels camera on the rear side. We also notice that there’s some useful ports like microSD, micro USB and HDMI output. Either T683 and E8-3D sports 8 inch screen with parallax barrier glasses-free 3D. But T683‘s screen is only able to provide maximum 1280 x 768 pixels resolution display. On the other side, E8-3D‘s screen capable of displaying HD 1280 x 800 image. We already tested both of them and there’s no significant difference on their performance.
T863 displayed 3D movies and pictures quite terrible. We can’t find the right spot where the screen will able to deliver constant picture quality. The ghosting objects keep appearing on the edges of the display. In contrast, it was not happen in E8-3D. According to company representative, this tablet use higher quality of parallax barrier and packed with the same display as WikiPad. But we are noticing that both tablet’s screen are easily print our fingerprints and unresistant to grease and dirts.
T683 is now available on Brando. On the other hand, it is still unclear when E8-3D will be available in the market. But Gadmei already confirmed that they will asked around $130 to $160 for one of this tablet.tags: 3D tablet, CES 2012, E8-3D, Gadmei, T683
