10 Greatest Smartphone of CES 2012
Although Apple’s presentation didn’t come out to CES 2012, there’s plenty amazing handset launched at this year’s event. Some of them might be good enough to become a substitute for iPhone 4S, or even the upcoming iPhone 5. Today, we present you list of 10 greatest phones that presented for the first time at CES 2012.
The latest generation of Droid series smartphone still carry on similar feature to it’s predecessors, the physical slide-out QWERTY keyboard. It’s five row keys are illuminated by gorgeous LED backlight. This handset powered with a 1.2 GHz dual-core processors. Since it works under Verizon Wireless network, it will also support for their 4G LTE Internet connection.
The world first Android 4.0 smartphone finally landed into Sprint’s inventory. Google Wallet, a feature that currently disabled in Verizon model, is resurrected in this version. Samsung Galaxy Nexus sports 4.65 inch Super AMOLED screen. It has 32GB Internal data storage and also support for Near Field Communication technology. Sprint currently asked $200 on two years contract for one of this device.
Galaxy Note feature 5.3 inch screen size, making it’s one of handset that feature largest Super AMOLED screen. Due to it’s screen size, some online reviewers decided to called this device as “phablet”, a combination between phone and tablet.
Samsung Galaxy Note packed with a built-in stylus called S-Pen, which can be utilized for free hand drawing or writing. This device is powered with a 1.4 GHz dual-core processors. It also has 8.0 MP rear shutter and 2500 mAh battery pack.
Xperia Ion sports 4.6 inch screen with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution display. It is powered with a dual-core processors that currently clocked at 1.5 GHz, alongside with 16GB Internal data storage. There’s 12 MP rear shutter and 1.3 MP web camera, which can be utilized for web call purpose. Sony Xperia Ion will be shipped with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, but it will be upgraded to Android 4.0 at some points.
5. HTC Titan II
HTC Titan II will soon come to AT&T’s inventory. It sports 4.7 inch screen size with 480 x 800 pixels resolution display. HTC packed this device with the beast 16 megapixels rear shutter. It should be more than enough to produce 4640 x 3840 pixels resolution photo. Deep under it’s hood, there’s 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S2 processors. HTC Titan II will be available for purchase on February and fully support for AT&T’s 4G LTE network.
Huawei’s latest invention feature 0.26 inch thickness, which makes it one of the most thinnest device that available around the market. Aside from it’s impressive design, Huawei Ascend P1 S also carry on decent hardware specs. It is powered with a 1.5 GHz Texas Instrument OMAP 4460 processors. This handset feature 4.3 inch with 540 x 960 pixels resolution display. It is also completely resistant from scratch and dust, thanks to the protection from Corning Gorilla glass. Huawei will shipped this handset with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
Carry on the same specs as Droid RAZR. The only difference is that this handset packed with larger 3,300 mAh battery unit. Verizon claimed that it should be more than enough to provide users with 21 hours of talk time on single charge. Sadly, the new battery unit make the handset 1.91 mm thicker than the original RAZR. According to Verizon representative, this handset should be available for purchase within weeks.
8. Asus Padfone
This handset was awarded with Best Innovation due to it’s ability to jump between tablet and smartphone interface within seconds. Padfone sports 4.3 inch screen size that would easily fit in to it’s tablet docks, which feature 10.1 inch screen. According to Asus’s representative, Padfone is powered with Qualcomm S4 CPU and work under Android Android 4.0. The company also noted that it will be released sometime around this year.
Fujitsu Arrow feature 1.4 GHz Snapdragon CPU. It’s 4 inch screen are completely protected by Corning Gorilla glass. There’s 5.11 MP rear shutter. The main attraction of this tablet is the fact that it is completely resistant to water. Fujitsu Arrow will be shipped with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, although it is still unclear when it will start to hit the market.
10. Nokia Lumia 900
The latest generation of Lumia series smartphone. Same as it’s predecessors, Lumia 900 worked under Windows Phone 7 platform. The handset is powered with a 1.4 GHz single-core processors. It’s 4.3 inch screen is build up from an AMOLED screen with ClearBlack display. There’s 8.0 MP rear shutter, complete with dual-LED flashlight feature.
