Acer and Lenovo Might Build Android 4.0 Quad Core Tablet

We can expect some Nvidia Tegra 3 tablet that will feature Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) on the first quarter of 2012. Acer and Lenovo are reported to develop that kind of tablet and ready to release them next year.

There is a great possibilities that those tablet will be the first Android 4.0 tablet that packed with Nvidia Tegra 3 processors. The world’s first quad-core android tablet, Asus Eepad Transformer Prime, will start to hit the market on December while currently run on Android 3.2 Honeycomb.

According to DigiTimes, both Lenovo and Acer will offer their Nvidia Tegra 3 tablet around $459-$599 price. That price will put them on the competitive situation with Apple iPad2 price. Off course with the addition of the quad-core processors.

Thanks to our friend at Engadget, we could figured it out that this Lenovo tablet will feature 10.1 inch screen size, 2 GB RAM and USB port. The report show that this mysterious device will be released before the end of 2011, but we believed that it is most likely to happen on the first quarter of 2012. While on the different occasion, Lenovo is officially announce their three latest Android tablet. That’s all we know about how the things going on Lenovo right now.
