How to Change Android Boot sound?

After my tutorial about change your bootanimation, now I will share about change your default bootsound. Yes, your device will cooler than others. When you boot up your device, you can hear your own music or sound.
Ok, here we go

Android bootsound

1. Find .wav file ( must be on wav extension).
2. Go to system/etc/
3. Find poweron.snd file
4. Move the file anywhere (for backup need) or you can save on your computer.
5. Put your .wav file on system/etc/, rename the wav file to poweron.snd , for example : sound.wav to poweron.snd
6. Reboot

    Well that is not true for all droids. For example in my Acer beTouch E140 the file is /system/flex/booting.wav and for Acer Liquid it must be something like android_starting.wav in some third place. However I can only copy my wave file onto SD or PC than listen to it and it really is the booting sound, but I can not replace the file with any other. I even tried to edit the source wave file in such a way that even length and file size remained, but the only effect it has on my phone is silent boot, which is helpful in its way, but does not give total satisfaction.

    my boot sound is called PowerOn.wav on Galaxy S II

    whenever i try to replace it or delete it, it gives the read only error
    anyone knows how to do it?

    Is there something you have to do to get the S2 to (android) play .wav or .snd… as i have only managed this by placing PowerOn.ogg.
