Android 2.3 Gingerbread Update for Verizon’s Motorola Droid X2 has Come

Good news everyone. I received a report saying that the Android 2.3 Gingerbread update has come to the Motorola Droid X2. The update comes with some bug fixes, general enhancements, and improvements to existing applications. The Android 2.3 Gingerbread update also comes with a new Download Manager app to handle and manage downloadss.

The other enhancements brought by the Android 2.3 Gingerbread update include geotagging capability for the camera app and improved copy and paste feature. It also brings some new icons, home customizable tray icons, screen transitions, and widgets to the home screen.

We are looking forward to the reaction of the Verizon’s users, since the all of the Android 2.3 Gingerbread updates were shelved by Verizon due to the issues that came from other handsets. So, you can be either happy or afraid of the new Android 2.3 Gingerbread update for the Motorola Droid X2.
