AT&T Users, now you can install Apps from Unknown source

YES! AT&T removes Android apps restriction! After years of restriction, now you can install apps from unknown sources! Before, AT&T restricts the app downloaded outside the Android Market.

Samsung Infuse is the first AT&T phones which capable to install app from outside source, including installing unofficial apps stores. This process called as sideloading.

“Over the next few weeks, we will also roll out this capability to existing devices in our base for which an upgrade is possible,” an AT&T spokesman said.

AT&T will update HTC Inspire 4G, Samsung Captivae, LG Thrive and HTC Aria over-the-air, to enable this feature. AT&T also bringing this upgrade to Atrix 4G.

This restriction removal give good effect for standalone app market, Amazon App Market. as we know, on March 22, Amazon released Amazon Appstore offering almost 3,800 Android apps.
Now, AT&T users can download the app freely after so many AT&T customers showed the frustration in the forum.

“Every day, Amazon releases a new app for free,” one upset customer wrote on AT&T’s own hosted message boards. “We continue to be left in the dark … Why can’t you just allow us to install 3rd party apps on our supposedly ‘open’ Android devices?”

Good decision from Amazon, this will keep their customers from go and maybe add its customer after this removal.
